1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Labaseries, we may collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, account identifier, profile information, and authentication details. If you sign in with Google, we receive the basic profile information you authorize Google to provide.
• Viewing and activity information: watchlist items, searches, downloads, access status, and interactions with series and episodes.
• Support and access information: your user ID, name, email address, access plan, device platform, and information you choose to submit when opening support or access-related pages.
• Device and technical information: device platform, app version, crash and diagnostic information, performance data, and event information about how app features are used.
• Notifications: a device push token and notification preferences if you enable push notifications.
• Support communications: information you include when contacting us for help.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and operate Labaseries; create and secure accounts; maintain watchlists and preferences; manage access status; deliver downloads and notifications; provide customer support; understand feature usage; diagnose crashes and performance problems; improve the app; prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases and choices

Where applicable, we process information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, comply with law, or based on your consent. You may disable notifications through your device settings and can use some features without signing in. You may also request access, correction, or deletion as described below.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the service, including:

• Google Firebase for authentication, database hosting, analytics, crash reporting, hosting, and related infrastructure;
• Google and Apple when you choose their sign-in services;
• Expo for application services such as push-notification delivery;
• Hosting, content-delivery, and technical-support providers where needed to deliver and improve the service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or security issues, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of assets.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing your account, maintaining transaction and compliance records, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirements. Local watch history or preferences stored on your device remain until you clear app data or remove them.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Account and data deletion

You may delete your account from the account or profile settings where that option is available. You may also request deletion by emailing hello@nerd.ug with the subject “Labaseries data deletion request.” We may ask you to verify account ownership. We will delete or de-identify associated personal information unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, transactions, or legal compliance.

8. Children’s privacy

Labaseries is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising viewing and account use by minors.

9. International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or other appropriate channels.
